The Save

Set in a mysterious and all-but empty baseball arena, The Save follows the story of a young man confronting his personal demons. The first of my filmmaking endeavors, this was a project of great personal significance for me.

After writing the script, I turned to Kickstarter for financing, writing and directing the promotional video featured here. I then set about producing, directing, and editing the film itself. After completing the edit, the short film was officially selected by 13 film festivals and went on to win 6 awards.

Seeing the potential value of the film as a group discussion starter about the importance of father figures, I wrote a complementary e-book and discussion guide. After designing the DVD package and developing a site, I began marketing and selling the product. To that end, I wrote, produced, and directed the promotional video featured here.
